Came here a few times during my trip in Louisiana and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can tell El Mejor was a local favorite just by how packed it was every time I drove by it. Food was delicious and you get served A LOT of it. You will definitely be headed home satisfied after a meal here.

Quaint atmosphere, large portions, excellent taste. Hidden jewel. Smothered chicken was awesome. Taco salad was well built. Service was friendly and prompt. Helpful suggestions - they were very accommodating to special requests.

The food was amazing and the service was great. I got this 2 enchlads they where great and nice and hot. I would recommend this to all of my friends

Totally awesome!!! Service great! Omg! The shrimp enchiladas, spinach enchiladas, fish tacos, and delicious (borchetta)shrimp jalapeno bacon wrapped off the chain!!

Our fire dept went for dinner and the food was delicious and our service was outstanding. The night we went there was a band playing . Very nice break from daily chaos...
